Also on the tour will be the famous, ancient looking Trinity Episcopal Church in Upperville that boasts unusual masonry, wrought ironwork and stained glass windows.
Heading the list of legislators who will attend is the Honorable Raymond R. “Andy” Guest, minority leader of the Virginia House of Delegates. Mr. and Mrs. Guest are the honorary co-chairmen of this event.
The general chairman is Mrs. Stuart M. Charlesworth, and the honorary general chairman is Ms. Annette Culler-Penney, president of the Piedmont Republican Women, the organization sponsoring this event.
The three vineyards are Meredyth, Naked Mountain and Highbury. Highbury is seldom open to the public. It is one of the area’s finest test vineyards set amid beautiful stonework on the bams, formal English gardens and the manor house.
Tickets to this event may be purchased by sending a check or money order to “TOUR,” Rt. 600W, Broad Run, Va. 22014. The cost is $10 before July 15 and $12 on the day of the tour.
Tickets are available at each tour site. Maps will be furnished for easy access to all points of interest. Children under age six will be admitted free.
