6 p.m. Evening events begin at Avon Hall with foot races for children up on the hill above the lake. Rev. Steve Scoggin will be officiating. County residents invited to picnic on Avon Hall lawn. Arabian Horse Show: Five costumed Arabian show horses, with Betty Lenz of Marshall acting as marshal for the evening events.
Llamas with owners Bill Gentry and Bob Dinning will demonstrate packing; “kishing” and riding during evening program.
8 p.m. Choral Presentation by area churches, under the direction of Dr. Merlin Shorb of Flint Hill, accompanied by Mrs. Pendleton on the organ
9 p.m. Singing of National Anthem and fireworks on the lawn. The fireworks display is under the direction of the Hubert Gilkey family. Philip Irwin is the master of ceremonies for the evening and Brad Fisher is in charge of communications.
