Assesses, plans & provides nursing care to patients of Orange Co. Hlth Dept, in home, clinic, school, community settings; emphasis as Family Planning Educator & clinic nurse; conducts patient assessment; provides medical & social counseling to Family Planning, MCH, W1C patients; makes occasional follow-up home visits to clinic patients; serves as resource person to schools & community agencies; assists other counties in district as back-up clinic nurse. Must be Va licensed RN (or elig), provide own transportation, possess demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally & in writing, exercise independent judgement. Prefer BSN with community hlth component 8dor public hlth nursing experience; demonstrated ability to assess & develop care plans, to set priorities, to counsel & educate in individual & group settings.
