Shenandoah National Park celebrates its 50th anniversary with a special program on Thursday, July 3. Activities will begin at 10 a.m. near Byrd Visitor Center at Milepost 51 on the Skyline Driver. Virginia Governor Gerald Baliles, former Senator Harry F. Byrd, Jr., and National Park Service Deputy Director Denis Galvin will be speaking at this commemoration. The public is invited to attend.
