Mrs. L. J. Turner was a dinner guest Sunday of Dr. and Mrs. John Turner at Waterloo Farms, Warrenton.
Mr. and Mrs. John Clark, Jr., Amanda and Stacy celebrated the 4th of July with a cookout. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Lane and children Tennessee and Phelps of Woodville, Ms. Sally Lilly and daughters Aliss and Lora of Lovette, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Pullen and daughters Pearl and Christy of Culpeper, Mr. and Mrs. John Clark and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Burke of Sperryville, Mrs. Alice Beahm and Carolyn Beahm. The John Clark, Jr., family and the Pullen family attended the fireworks at Avon Hall later in the evening.
The Washington Ladies Auxiliary bake sale on the 4th of July was very successful. The members thank everyone who donated food, money and help.
Earl Burke of Guam arrived at the home of his mother Mrs. Mary Burke Thursday night for a visit. Earl is a brother of Rev. John Burke.
Mr. and Mrs. Ike Ralls and son Steve, Mrs. Alice Beahm and Mr. and Mrs. John Huff and family enjoyed a picnic Saturday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Pullen at their vacation property in West Virginia.
