It doesn’t ‘just happen’
To the editor:
On the 4th of July d fantastic celebration appears to “just happen.” Of course, many people are involved in planning, arranging, and orchestrating the day’s events.
One person, in particular, deserves special note and an expression of gratitude. He worked tirelessly for weeks, but we were particularly surprised to see him at 10:30 at night, chalking spaces for craft exhibits, at 6 the next morning, setting up tables, then again late after the celebration ended, picking up trash. In the afterglow of such a fine celebration, we would like to give a special “thank you” to Roger Roach.
