Ruritans to meet The Amissville Ruritan Club will meet Wednesday, July 16, at 7:30 p.m. at the Amissville Baptist Church. All members are urged to attend.
Jenkins reunion The fourth annual family reunion of the late Aubrey R. and Ellen Baker Jenkins will be held Sunday, July 20, at the Rappahannock Park on Rt. 211 near Washington. Relatives and friends are invited. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m.
VBS at Hope Hill Baptist Vacation Bible School will be held at Hope Hill Baptist Church July 21 through 25 at 7 p.m. daily. All children are invited to attend. Business Council to meet The Washington Business Council will meet Thursday, July 10, at 7 p.m. at Brambles. Brambles will be open for dinner prior to the meeting. Please make reservations in advance.
Flint Hill Carnival July 30-August 2 The Flint Hill Firemen’s Carnival will be held at the carnival grounds next to the firehouse Wednesday, July 30, through Saturday, August 2. On opening night any and all rides will be operating at one low price from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Grand parade will be held Thursday beginning at 6:30 p.m. There’ll be rides, games, food and fun for all throughout the week.
