The U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service is offering a reward of up to $2500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the shooting of a Golden Eagle in Rappahannock County.
The incident occurred in March on Route 211 about two miles east of Ben Venue.
Golden Eagles are protected by federal law, and the incident is being investigated by federal authorities.
Anyone with information concerning this incident should contact the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service, P.O. Box 446, Fredericksburg, VA 28401. Information may also be given to the local game warden, who can be contacted through the Sheriffs Department. All information will be kept confidential.
