Mrs. Rowe was impressed with the focus of this year’s program. “This year’s focus seems to be on having fun with the computers and experimenting with all of the options available to the students but yet r meeting specified objectives.”
Mrs. Rowe added, “These kids will be able to help others use the computer next year in their classes.”
Julie Bankston said that she feels confident that she can load and run many programs and is looking forward to helping her classmates next year learn to do the same.
Mrs. LaCava emphasized the importance of the use of computers during the school year for the students to retain what they have learned. “I would like to see the computer used for a class endeavor rather than having them always separated with just one or two in a classroom.” She added that using all of the computers with a whole class for a period of time would provide a more efficient use of the equipment.
Mrs. LaCava concluded, “They were so easily motivated. I had a lot of fun even though there was work involved.”
The students said they wished that the funding had permitted the class to continue throughout the summer. When asked if they had enjoyed the class they emphatically replied, “YES!”
