Wanting first-hand information, the supervisors asked for a special session with Mr. Forman two weeks ago. He affirmed his request for zoning approval from the governing body for the 10-foot elevation in contours but backed down from his demand for a promise of a new county landfill, saying the supervisors must assure only that the county will make satsifactory provisions for solid waste disposal by the July 1, 1987 deadline. With that in hand, he said he would then okay the dump extension by approving the 10 foot lift in the closure plan.
