The Castleton Fire Department carnival proved more successful than ever this year with gross receipts amounting to over $4,200 and a net profit of $2,700. Miss Lillian Ann Grigsby, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Grigsby of Rock Mills, won the title of Her Majesty with 5,630 votes and along with the crown was given red roses and a lovely charm bracelet by the Ladies Auxiliary.

of Amissville celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary Sunday with a large group of relatives and friends who came with good Wishes and gifts.
The Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors voted 5 to 1 in favor of zoning ordinances which had been set up by the Planning Commission and submitted to them for adoption. This action was taken following a public hearing on zoning Friday in connection with the regular July meeting of the supervisors.
The Little League baseball team under the sponsorship of the Rappahannock Jaycees will give away a portable television set at the close of their game July 10. The presentation will be at approximately 5 p.m. at the
