Volunteers needed
for children’s fest
Volunteers are needed to help organize the first Children’s Festival offered by the Fauquier County Parks and Recreation Department. The Festival will be held August 8, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at C. M. Crockett Park and will offer numerous activities, including puppet shows, choral groups, jugglers, musicians, arts, crafts, demonstrations, and much much more.
"The event will capture the essence of youth, and provide children with great memories,” says Mary Terry, Park Manager of Crockett Park. "We would really like help and input form the public.”

in Winchester
The Shenandoah Summer Musk Theater will present "The Music Man” through July 6 in the Armstrong Auditorium at Shenandoah College and Conservatory in Winchester.
"The Music Man” is the story of the irrepressible con artist Harold Hill who livens up the small town of River City, Iowa, by charming the ladies and convicing the townspeople that River City needs a big brass band.
Other shows to be presented include "The King and I” on July 8 through 19 and "Annie” which will run July 22 to Aug. 1.
Tickets are $9 for Friday or Saturday evening performances and $8 for Wednesday and Saturday matinees, and Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday evening performances.
Matinee performances are at 2:30 p.m., Sunday eveningB show at 7 p.m. All other shows start at 8 p.m.
