In loving memory ot our Dad, Pate Tharp, who was taken away December 22, 1985. Father's Day is very sad now Dad. Since you went away, But our love for you is just as strong as if it was yesterday, There aren't so many or lucky To have a Dad like you Who worked very hard And be so kind and true We loved you for almost 8 years after Mom was taken away, So the days are harder now, For you are gone and can't give us courage to help keep the pain away, So the sadness in our hearts will always hurt each and everyday Sadly missed and loved:

The family of Howard "Deacon" Lawson wishes to express their gratitude and sincere appreciation for the many acts of kindness and sympathy extended during his illness and following his death by members of the Fauquier and Rappahannock Communities. Especially to those friends and neighbors who were so attentive to his needs and care; to the Amissville Ruritans and the Amissville Rescue Squad for their consideration and quick response to request for assistance; to the members of the Amissville Methodist Church for their constant prayers and Rev. Steve Parker for his compassionate ministry. Each act and word was a reminder of the Deacon's wealth in friends and affection.
