to Jamestown
Take a step back in history on Saturday, July 11. Join the Fauquier County Parks and Recreation Department on a trip to Jamestown Festival Park and Yorktown Victory Center. The chartered bus will leave Fauquier High School at 8 a.m. and return about 8 p.m. The cost is $31 for the county residents and $37.50 for non-residents. Picnic facilities are available at the Yorktown Victory Center. Registration deadline for the trip is July 6.
Picture yourself as a colonist right out of the 17th century at Jamestown. Go aboard a full-size replica of a ship that carried the first settlers to Virginia and experience the life in an Indain Village. At Yorktown Victory Center, relive the period around the Revolutionary War through films, exhibits, and demonstrations.
