A costumed pageant
At noon a reading of the Declaration of Independence, along with other colonial documents, will take place on the steps of the Qourthouse. At 11:50 a.m., church bells throughout the town will toll, calling the crowd to assemble for the patriotic pageant.
The noon pageant will feature townspeople dressed in colonial costume. Jim Thomasson, who is assisting with the organization of the evening program, said that “there will be a lot of people dressed in period garb during the day.”
