The evening program, held for the 26th year on the grounds of Avon Hall, will feature entertainment for the entire family, Mr. Thomasson said. Events there will begin around dinner time.
William and Ramona Carrigan, who have served as hosts for the evening program on the lawn of their home Avon Hall, are again inviting Rappahannock County residents and friends to bring their picnic dinners and blankets and spread their tables on Courthouse Hill, where Mr. Carrigan promises an excellent vantage point for both the evening program and the fireworks.
The theme for this year’s program will be “We The People,” in celebration of the bicentennial of the United States Constitution. Mr. Thomasson said that the traditional luminari, a fixture of the program at Avon Hall each year, will be on that theme.
