Basic freezer vanilla 2 cups heavy cream 2 cups light cream (or half-andhalf)
1 cup sugar 1T. vanilla extract 1/8 tsp. salt Chill crean until very, very cold. Combine with sugar, vanilla and salt and mix till thoroughly blended. Taste and add more sugar or vanilla if desired. Freeze in ice-cream maker according to manufacturer’s directions. Blueberry Lemon Ice Cream: Add the grated rind of 1 lemon and 1 cup pureed fresh blueberries to the basic mixture, but omit vanilla. Add extra sugar if desired.
