Settle reunion
The Settle family reunion will be held on Saturday, September 6 beginning at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are urged to attend and bring a covered dish and beverage.
A gathering for all
Join with the community to celebrate our creativity and desires for a peaceful world at a multi-cultural celebration, Sunday, August 16. Beginning at noon there will be food, art, crafts and a group art creation in which all can participate. At 5 p.m. a free show begins with a “Creative Prayer Circle” for peace. Performers include Anthea, Nicole Frye, Rebecca Williams, David Clanagan & Free Spirits, Linda Orfila and Frank Stockton. The celebration will be at Horse Shoe Hill, a mile west of Sperryville on Route 211.

Jenkins family reunion
The annual reunion for the relatives and friends of the late Luther E. and Ada F. Jenkins will be held August 23 from 11 a.m. until dark at the picnic area of Graves Mountain Lodge, Syria. Those attending are asked to bring a picnic lunch, which will be served at 1 p.m.
Performances at Gay St. Theatre
Live theatre comes to Washington in RAAC’s presentation of four short comic pieces by the HBW 3 Group, a professional theatre troupe from D.C.
Forever, Ever, by Magda Zalan, The Obscure Reign of Gaius Julius lacoccus, by Bart Whiteman, Bikini from Mars, also by Whiteman and Long Days Journey Into Ice, by Robert Piggott, will be presented at Gay Street Theatre at 8 p.m. Saturday, August 16. Tickets are $4 for students, $6 for RAAC members and $7.50 for the general public.
