at Crockett Park
“Strictly for the Birds” is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 18 and “Flowers, Flowers, Everywhere” is slated for Tuesday Aug. 25 as part of the ongoing Fauquier County Parks and Recreation’s Crockett Park Tuesday evening nature programs.
“Birds play an important role in the forest,” said Carol Heiser, naturalist at C.M. Crockett Park. At 7 p.m. on Aug. 18 Ms. Heiser will begin the “Strictly for the Birds” program with a bird walk pointing out bird behavior and habitat, followed by the popular film, “Virginia’s Flying Colors.” The program will last about an hour.
