Their response to the optional program for religious education was “very, very positive,” with the majority indicating “no problems.” But one administrator did say he had received “a number of telephone calls, concerns from parents about why it was going on,” Dr. Gangeladded.
As to the “rolling chapel’s” effect on the rest of the RCES educational program, the superintendent said, “Any release time has an impact on the curriculum.”
Affirming that the trailer can’t be parked on school property, Dr. Gangel noted that CBM’s request is for the “rolling chapel” to be located near the elementary school.
“Where would it be set up?” asked board member Bill Oliver.
“I assume they’d use property out near the road (presumably nearer Route 211). . . county property.” the superintendent replied.
