to give some perspective to the site of Antares, Prof. Leap compared it to the sun’s size. If Antares were in the same place as our sun, the Earth would be a part of that giant star rather than a planet revolving around it.

The best viewing time for Saturn is any time after sunset, although the early evening is generally the best, Dr. Leap said.

Later in the evening, around 11, Jupiter can be viewed in the east. It’s the brightest star in the eastern sky during this time of year.

With the aid of either binoculars or a small telescope, the Galilean moons of Jupiter are visible.

On clear, dark nights, the Milky Way, the galaxy which Earth is in, is visible as a wide band of star dusters that stretches east to south.

Later in the evening, the Andromeda Galaxy, located in the constellation Andromeda, is visible.
