The final carcass yield judging was held at Rocco Further Processing in Timberville.

Three other Rappahannock 4-H members also entered the contest.

Greg Williams entered two animals, one of which finished eighth, the other 49th.

Michael Brown’s lamb finished in 14th place.

Amy Richardson also entered one animal, which placed 19th in the competition.

This was the first year for the performance-carcass lamb show. The Extension Service found sufficient interest in the competition to plan for it to be a yearly event. Other residents interested in information about any of the 4-H activities should contact the Extension Office^675-3619.
