The Hampton Inn is closed, owner Mildred Cebula confirmed last Monday. “It’s permanent,” she added, in response to a reporter’s question, ending nine years in business on Rt. 211 west of Washington. “I tried, but my business has gone down for two months,” Mrs. Cebula said.
Last Friday, she filed suit against Sheriff John Henry Woodward, asking $600,000 for damages she alleges she has suffered as a result of comments he made during a meet ing of the Board of Supervisors.
