Virginia’s horse industry received a tremendous vote of confidence from the General Assembly last week when the Senate passed the pari-mutuel horse racing bill. A few weeks ago, the House passed the bill and now with the Senate’s confirmation the legislation goes to the Governor for his signature. Since he supported virtually the same bill ten years ago as a member of the House of Delegates, I am confident that he will sign the measure.
