McCarthy’s opinion and ruling on the council’s decision was not delivered to him until Mr. Reynolds’ return. Mr. McCarthy said that any comment on the proposal or his ruling would have to wait until he had studied the resolution and the supporting state code sections.
Editor’s note: Due to space limitations, a comprehensive story on the council’s meeting last week does not appear. In addition to the request from Mr. Giles, the council also held a joint public hearing ivith the Planning Commission on several amendments to the zoning ordinance during the four-hour meeting.
