To the editor:
If indeed the Flatwoods section of Route 211 is so terribly dangerous, I would suggest reducing the speed limit there to 45 miles per hour. Safety could be improved further by increasing visibility at intersections and adding turn lanes.
The improved safety that four lanes add is questionable, unless limited access is also provided, as in the case of interstates. There are many blind driveways and intersections on the present four-lane 211 and people using these entrances are faced w ith traffic moving at 65 and 70 mph.
Not to consider who will pay for this project is a serious oversight on the part of government and citizens. Our nation is faced with a serious budget deficit which threatens the
