Dinner to benefit CCLC
On Saturday, March 26, at 6 p.m. dinner will be served in six Rappahannock homes for the benefit of Child Care and Learning Center. Cocktails will start at 6 p.m. at the Center on Rt. 211. From there everyone will be assigned a home for a wonderful dinner. “Do come and meet new friends and enjoy an evening in Rappahannock County,” said an organizer. Reservations are $35 each. Benefit auction March 19
A public auction sponsored by Amissville Volunteer Fire Department is scheduled for Saturday, March 19, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the fire house.
A vast array of items have been collected for the sale and more are wanted. Anyone having saleable articles which they would like to donate should call any member of the fire department.
Auctioneers will be Bill Payne of Amissville and Tom Reese of Culpeper.
Hospice training begins
Hospice of the Rapidan’s spring volunteer training will be given Monday and Wednesday evenings, beginning March 21, from 7 to 9:30 at 126 South Main St., Culpeper. The courses include 24 hours of instruction on home care, communication skills, volunteer responsbilities, family dynamics, bereavement, a client visit, and a tour of a funeral home. 4-H Adventure team to meet
