A PTA sock hop will be held in the RCES gym March 18 from 7-9 p.m. A lip sync contest will be the highlight of the night. Come prepared to perform.
Monday Alternative postponed
The Rappahannock County Library’s Monday Night Alternative for March has been postponed until May 23. William Dietel will speak on “Making a Difference: Reflections on Philanthropy, Rockefellers and Rappahannock.” On April 25, Sally Nash will present a program on The Creative Process. In May, Roger Kennedy will speak on The Smithsonian Institutions.
‘Moral Survival
— Fiction of the Fifties’
John O’Hara’s Ten North Frederick will be the next topic in the lecture-film series sponsored by the Friends of the Rappahannock Library and the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities and Public Policy. Dr. Peter Wirth, an independent scholar from Esmont, will speak and lead a discussion on the novel Monday, March 21, at 7:30 p.m. at the Library. Ten North Frederick is the second of four novels to be considered in the series. For more information on this free program, call 675-3780.
Woman’s Club to meet
