Catherine Ann Fox, the daughter of Donald William Phillips of Luray and the late Mary Catherine Phillips, and James Remick Ashanky of Luray, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Andrew Ashanky of Warren, N.J., were married Feb. 14 at 3 p.m.
The ceremony was performed at the Luray United Methodist Church by the Rev. William A. Ricketts.
The wedding music was provided by Miss Kathy Hewitt, Mrs. Beverley Benda and the choir, Katrina Griffith, Carol Keyser, Penny Wright, Libby Coulter, Renee Fristoe, Bonita Seely, Barbie Stombock, George Dowrey, Kenneth Hulse, John Seely, Lee Baines and Peter Seely.
The church was decorated with floral arrangements.
The bride w ore an ivory gown of tissue taffeta and silk venise lace, with a fitted bodice. Queen Anne neckline and long tapered sleeves. The full A-line skirt, accented with silk venise motifs and fabric bows, extended into a cathedral train. Her fingertip veil of bridal illusion fell from a lace and pearl covered picture hat. She carried a bouquet of ivory.
