Nicole Maeyer decided to take band for the fun of it. She feels that she has learned a great deal this year and has enjoyed performing at the- senior citizens’ home. “They really appreciated it. It made me realize how lonely some of them are.”
All of those interviewed advised any student who has the desire to play an instrument and can keep tempo to get involved with band early so that they will be familiar with reading music before they tackle high school band class.
