Leslie’s experience encouragec} her to improve her clarinet playing and gave her a chance to make ne\* friends with similar interests.
Although Leslie plans to major in law she wants to continue her band career at Mary Washington College
Mr. Orth is looking forward to having more success stories like | Leslie’s. He said he has seen such improvement in his students this year. He plans for the band members to participate in more music festivals, begin a marching band to possibly play in the Apple Blossom Parade, and continue the Pep Band.
The Pep Band has given the students an opportunity to raise spirits and to perform in a non-threatening environment.
Mr. Orth emphasized, “The most important thing is for the students to enjoy themselves and feel pride when they wear their Rappahannock County High School band jackets.”
