way each and every one of us lives and yet we continue to build highways the likes of which the world has never seen.

With a finite oil supply, air pollution threatening our forests, and a dwindling economy, we continue to pour asphalt at a phenomenal cost per mile, while other countries continue to develop an efficient mass transit system.

We must all make sacrifices to help balance the budget and preserve the high quality of living that we enjoy. Maybe we in Rappahannock can do our small part by driving a little slower and allowing the $14 million to be spent for a more essential cause.
