James Clatterbuck
James Floyd “Dick” Clatterbuck, 74, of Sperryville died Jan. 29 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Clatterbuck was a native of Rappahannock County, the son of the late James Albert and Olive Mae Clatterbuck. He was a retired foreman from the Virginia Department of Highways, a World War II veteran. He had served in a number of battles in Italy and North Africa. He was a member of the Thornton Gap Regular Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Getrude Burke Clatterbuck; two daughters, Virginia Smith, Luray and Linda Jenkins, Sperryville; a foster daughter, Margaret Lam, Ft. Benning, Ga.; three sisters, Beulah Ward, Annie Belle Payne and Emma Woodward, all of Sperryville; and four grandchildren, Anthony Wayne Jenkins and Roger Wesley Cooke, both of Sperryville and Tina Gail
