“A petite girl you can overwhelm much more than a larger person with a lot ot ruffles and huge sleeves," Weed says. Large, puffy sleeves create an undesirable horizontal plane, she says. She suggests headpiece poufs to add height.

VC eed savs she worked with a couple ot brides who ordered gowns in the largest available size, to which Weed added panels to make the dresses look like they were made tor the brides’ sizes.
“Simple, clean lines, not a lot ot ruffles, not a lot of exterior pouf’ are features Weed recommends for the large-size bride.
