They are unsuspected and somewhat humorous. However, you can’t fill an entire album with them. There are certain photographs that should be included, group shots in particular.
“When we do a wedding, we ask the bride and groom tor their undivided attention tor small periods of time twice during the day. We ask for an hour before the ceremony so we can get a lot of shots out of the way. We then ask for 15 to 20 minutes right after the ceremony —other than that they are on their own. We have got to have those times to shoot. Generally there is a list of groups that, if you don’t get them at that time, you won’t get the prints after the reception starts,” said Christiana.
He added, “Most photographers do that now. If they don’t, you should make them do it. It is too risky to say, ‘I’ll catch it later at the reception’; a lot can happen at a reception. We try to tell a story rather than just shoot a lot of unrelated pictures. We start an hour before the ceremony and basically stay until the reception is over so we get a real good cross section of the whole event," said Christiana.
