The bridal trousseau is hack.
Years ago, it included all the personal possessions a new bride brought to the marriage — a year’s wardrobe, all ot her accessories, linens and housewares. Her father supplied it as part of her dowry.
Today, the trousseau is usually the bride’s honeymoon wardrobe, primarily the clothes that make her feel especially beautiful: silky smooth, lacy, libido-unleashing sleepwear.
The trousseau is also her linens and those bed and bath accessories that are most conducive to romance.
