David N. Crump Jr. declared last Thursday, in announcing his candidacy that, “Government must work for all of us — but good government doesn’t just happen, it is achieved.”
Mr. Crump is the former Warren County Commonwealth’s Attorney, who now serves as attorney for the Town of Front Royal, a post he has held since 1979.
Among his accomplishments representing the town and county, Mr. Crump cited his successful prosecution of Roman Leimer in the “pig bones” case, when Mr. Leimer feigned his own fiery death by placing pig bones in the cab of his Exxon tanker truck and setting fire to it on Interstate 66.
He also got a conviction of Thomas Drumhejler, who was accused of the murder of Hope Atkins, whom he abducted from a Front Royal laundromat. Drumheller is presently serving two life terms plus
