The Varsity Panthers of Rappahannock capped a perfect 3-0 home stand week on Friday by crushing district foe Manassas Park, 76-51. The Panthers’ earlier wins were over Miller Academy on Tuesday and the Shenandoah Valley Academy Stags 89-46 Wednesday night.
Following the victory over the Manassas Park Cougars, an elated Gary Leake said the first quarter was the finest offensive and defensive showing by the Panthers all season. “When you can play a whole quarter and limit a team to one field goal you’re doing a lot of things right,” the coach said.
