were also in her honor. Mrs. Frances Semones provided biographical data and shared how Mrs. Stuart had made life better for so many in our community, and what a great blessing she had been as an active member of the United Methodist Women (UMW). The congregation was invited to join in the reception following the worship services.

Mrs. Stuart was being honored prior to her move in the near future to the Baptist Retirement Community in Culpeper, which is designed for independent living. She plans to visit Amissville frequently. She has no plans for complete retirement; she’s already making plans to provide crafts for the UMW’s fall bazaar when she’s settled into her new home.

Mrs. Stuart’s career included being director of nursing in several hospitals, as well as a nurse in the Navy during World War II.

According to her many friends and neighbors, Mrs. Stuart’s life has always been that of service and dedication, preferring others over herself. The community will always be grateful for her many contributions and wish her continued good health and our love.
