County Beautification Day

This Saturday, March 31, the Rappahannock Anti-Litter League and You (RALLY!) will sponsor its third annual County Beautification Day. Litter coordinator Nina Stamer is soliciting volunteers, both individuals and organizations, to clean badly littered stretches of highway. Volunteers should plan to meet at the county park on U.S. 211 outside Washington at 9 a.m. to receive safety vests and trash bags. Volunteers may choose their own road or have one assigned. There will be refreshments at the park after the clean-up at 1 p.m., and tshirts for participants donated by The Inn at Little Washington. There will also be an aluminum can collection at the park from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to benefit the seventh grade class trip. The rain date is Saturday, April 7, for more information, call Mrs. Stamer (675-3810) or the county office (675-3342).

Children's creative dance

The Child Care and Learning Center is sponsoring a 10-week series on childrens’ dance, featuring tap dance, beginning in April. Classes will be held at CCLC on Monday and Tuesday evenings. For more information, contact CCLC (675-3237) or Jean Falk-Wright (6356903).
