Making fabric-covered frames can be a do-it-yourself project, Williams says. “Something like that would be cute in a powder room to match maybe your wallpaper, or your draperies."
Deciding how to group photographs is largely a matter of personal taste.
“In my home we have them by event,” such as graduations, Zelman says.
“There’s no right or wrong, O K. It’s what pleases the individual,” Zelman says. “What 1 think is more interesting is if you break it up,” avoiding hanging photos in perfectly lined up positions.
“I think it’s nice if you can mix up sizes, mix up moldings,” he says.
Interior designer Bud Yeck of The Mill Company in Leesburg says frames in a grouping should be harmonious, but need not all be of the same style.
