David Paul Godwin, 28, the former manager of Washington’s Village Cafe, returned to town Tuesday to face arraignment on six felony and two misdemeanor fraud charges resulting from checks he allegedly wrote with insufficient funds.
Godwin appeared before General District Court Judge Charles Foley, who appointed an attorney from the public defender’s office in Leesburg to represent him. The charges were continued until July 17, when Godwin must appear again.
