To the editor:
Due to the timing in the Rappahannock News of Ed Bailey’s obituary my wife and I failed to know of his funeral while it was possible to show our respect for an outstanding person, mason, family man and friend.
We came to know him a good 20 years ago when he supervised the construction of the foundation of our home and the building of our living room fireplace and chimney, both indispensible to our enjoyment of our living room in winter. Though he was skeptical of my design he followed it k faithfully to our complete satisfaction since.
