Washington’s Town Council will act next Wednesday on the proposed $105,920 budget for the next fiscal year.
The figure represents a 27 percent increase over the $83,470 figure approved for the fiscal year which ends June 30.
Much of the increase comes in the area of administration, which grew from $18,585 in this year’s budget to a projected figure of $38,450 in next year’s proposed budget.
Of the nearly $20,000 increase in that category, $7,800 is for the services of Town Attorney Frank Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds’ legal opinions have been increasingly requested by the council, not only during the recent applications by The
