Philip played for three years on both the varsity soccer and baseball squads, serving as the goalie for the soccer squad. He was the basebaill team’s most valuable player for the past two seasons, and was also named first team all-district by the Bull Run coaches.
Daczewitz was also named at the soccer team’s most valuable player one time. Before concentrating on soccer and baseball, he was a member of the RCHS junior varsity basketball squad.
Beth Conover, also a senior, was presented the school’s Sportsmanship Award.
Her award, Coach Leake said, is in recognition of her participation in three sports: basketball in the fall, volleyball in the winter, and softball in the spring.
“She was a major contributor to those sports,” Coach Leake said, “while still one of the top-ranking members of her class academically.” Indeed, Conover is the salutatorian
