Great buys for
a good cause
A major social and fund raising event will take place this coming Sunday, June 10 when the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community (RAAC) will hold its annual benefit auction and dinner at the School House Restaurant in Flint Hill.
The event starts with a cocktail hour at 4 p.m. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served and guests will be able to examine the many fine works of art, crafts, wine, food, entertainment and services that will be put up for bid.
The auction begins at 5 p.m.; dinner will follow. (Those who don’t wish to come to dinner are still invited to attend the auction.)
“RAAC serves the community in many ways,” said Director Kay Robertson, “but perhaps the most notable are the many fine programs it presents in its Gay Street Theatre at bargain prices in order to make programs available to as many county residents as possible.
