Va. landscapes
This month’s Gallery in Washington is a one-person showing of landscapes by native Virginia artist Drema A. Setti.
The works in this exhibition focus on the artist’s response to the landscape in several rural, mountainous areas of Virginia. The resulting paintings have been executed in oil in a realistic style with a strong emphasis on color and spatial arrangement.
Ms. Setti is a graduate of Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, with a double major in religion and studio art. She also taught private lessons in drawing and painting since 1984 in her studio at home.
