At a special meeting last

Thursday morning, the Rappahannock supervisors approved a grant of $4,835 from the state Office of Fire Services Training for Improvements to the Amissville fire school facility. The county will front the money for roof repairs and new lintels over the doors and windows in the building used for fire fighter training. The Office of Fire Services Training will then reimburse the country for all verified contractual expenses, not to exceeed $4,835.

Dr. Jean Francois Henry will speak on “Local Energy Resources” at the June 6 meeting of Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection. The meeting will be at 7:30 at the courthouse jn Washington. All persons interested in local production of ethanol, hydro-electric power, and other renewable energy sources are encouraged to attend.
