Horse show at Old Mill

Ay tor’s Riding School horse show will be held on Saturday, June 9 at 9 a.m. at Old Mill Stables on U.S. 522 at Fletcher’s Mill. No schooling. For more information call 987-8215.

Parent support group

A new parent support group for mothers and/or fathers with babies up to 18 months old will meet in June. The group will be designed to meet the needs of the parents and will meet June 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 10 a.m. until noon in Flint Hill. There will be a $20 fee. Annual talent show June 30

The Annual Rappahannock Talent and Variety Show will be held at the Gay Street Theater in Washington on Saturday, June 30 from 7 to 9 p.m. The Show will feature dancers, opera, folk, gospel, poetry readings, piano solos and much, much more. Come to this fun-filled evening featuring talented individuals from Rappahannock and surrounding counties. Tickets are only $5 and will be sold at the door. Burke reunion

The families of the late Lewis and Bessie Jenkins Burke will hold a reunion on Sunday, June 10 at the Rappahannock Park near Washington. Family members and friends are invited to attend, bringing a picnic lunch and beverage, and meet old and new friends. Lunch will be served at 12:30.

Register for 4-H camps

The Rappahannock County Extension Office is now accepting registrations for 4-H Overnight camp scheduled for July 8-12 and 4-H Day Camp scheduled for June 25-29. Both camps will be held at the 4-H Center in Front Royal, and will include educational workshops, swimming and recreational activities. Transportation via school bus will be provided for day campers. 4-H Overnight Camp is for youth ages 9-13. Registration which is $75 is due June 15. 4-H Day Camp, for youth ages 6-12, is $25 and is due June 11. Registrations are taken on a firstcome basis. Forms are available at the Rappahannock Extension office or by calling 675-3619.

NSDAR bus tour

The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter, NSDAR, bus tour for Woodlawn, Gunston Hall and Pohick Church will leave from the parking tot of the Culpeper Baptist Church in Culpeper at 8:30 a.m. promptly on Tuesday, June 12.
