Pastor R. Mark Jarvis of Open Door Baptist Church in Culpeper has invited Dr. Don Boys of Indianapolis to speak at the church on June 10-13. Dr. Boys has been invited by the church because of his involvement in timely issues around the nation and because of his strong biblical preaching.
Dr. Boys was bom in 1935 in West Virginia and received his early training there. He was educated at Moody Bible Institute, Tennessee Temple University, Immanuel College, and Heritage Baptist University where he earned his PH.D.
Dr. Boys was the administrator for eight years of the Baptist Academy in Indianapolis, a Christian school with over 600 students. He has also helped start numerous Christian schools across America and Canada.
Dr. Boys has served in the Indiana House of Representatives, and while in the house, the media identified him as “the most conservative voice in the General Assembly.” He authored legislation that required public schools to teach creation on an equal basis with evolution; life in prison for rape; prison for sodomites; reversal of the E.R.A.; and other conservative measures.
Even with all these activities, Dr. Boys has been able to do extensive traveling in the United States, Mexico, Canada, West Indies, Europe and the Middle East and has organized and led tours to Central America, England, Israel, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Italy, Greece, Holland, Belgium, France, Japan, Korea and the Philippines.
